Look for Opportunities

Opportunities to “sell” (yourself, your ideas, your company) are everywhere. Sometimes they’re obvious, sometimes they’re hidden in casual conversations. Train yourself to see them.

Establish Trust

People buy from people they trust. Period. Build credibility through honesty, listening, follow-through, and genuinely caring about the other person’s needs.

Ask for What You Want

This is the step most people struggle with, but it’s critical. Don’t assume your good work, great product, or strong reputation will speak for itself; at some point, you have to ask. Clearly, confidently, and kindly.
